The Discussions tool is used for asynchronous discussions for any type of course. These interactions don’t need to take place immediately or in person but provide space online for students to have group discussions or to engage with their peers who may not be able to attend a live session. Discussion posts can be graded and will appear in the gradebook.
Here are some tutorials to help you get started with Discussions.
Tutorials for students related to the Discussions tool specifically are at the bottom of this page (and also on the D2L for Students page).
For help with facilitating asynchronous discussions, we have also provided some links to some addition resources.
